STURGIS
Important and prosperous city, county seat of Meade county, on the C & NW Ry.,
tributary to, and shipping point for a large farming country. Good water supply,
electric lights, fine high school building and one of the best court houses in
the state. Fort Meade is two miles east of the city. The city is picturesquely
located, has two banks, etc.
